We are seeking a talented individual to join our Health & Benefits team at Mercer. This role will be based in Chicago. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

We will count on you to:

  • Perform the role of Project Manager to teams solving complex client issues to meet deadlines and exceed client expectations.
  • Serve as the day-to-day contact for a diverse group of clients.
  • Support internal teams by orchestrating multiple workstreams, including specialty groups and other lines of business.
  • Establish relationships with vendor and carrier contacts to manage all benefits administrative functions, including eligibility, claims, billing, plan implementation, contracts, changes, and amendments.
  • Participate in setting strategic direction and delivering innovative solutions.
  • Prepare reports for clients based on analysis of RFPs from insurance carriers and other vendors.
  • Interpret data to identify trends and compare against client specific benchmarks and business objectives.
  • Assist clients with establishing budgets and recommend plan options to achieve their financial goals.

What you need to have:

  • BA/BS preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Health & Benefits experience, preferably in a consulting environment.
  • Ability to partner and lead teams to deliver project objectives; ability to work independently and on a team.
  • Required to obtain and maintain appropriate licenses as required by state regulations and Mercer policies.
  • Knowledge of MS Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment.

Marsh McLennan is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh McLennan colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $68,500 to $137,000.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
