Compensation: Base salary + commission structure

Independent journalism is hard to finance. That’s why we need a brilliant Head of Sales to bring in the $$$ to support our work. What are you selling? High-impact, low-cost videos. We make them by remotely directing citizens, staff, beneficiaries, whoever, using just their phones. Its user-generated content, but pro-quality. Every brand in the world wants to do more raw and authentic videos, but they also know influencers can be a pain to work with. Theyre expensive, dont follow the brief and give diva vibes. Our method is very different. It’s real people and real stories. And if we get this right, we become the Ogilvy of citizen stories. Ideally we’re focused on brands creating positive change, and we’re definitely not keen to help organizations doing awful things to people and planet. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Sell Video Products: Sell video as a product, including production, licensing, syndication, and distribution.
  • Drive Revenue Growth: Close $2.5 - $3 million in deals within the first 12 months.
  • Leverage Existing Network: Utilize your network of brands in the US, Europe, and North America, especially in Europe, to close individual deals valued between $200,000 and $500,000 annually.
  • Client Strategy: Identify target industries and specific clients within your network who would benefit from our video solutions. Propose actionable strategies to approach and win these clients.
  • Hands-On Sales: Execute sales efforts directly. This is not a strategic or tactical planning role, but one focused on achieving tangible sales outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • A robust network of brand connections in the US, Europe, and North America, capable of driving significant revenue.
  • Proven experience in selling video products, including production, licensing, syndication, and distribution.
  • A track record of closing large deals and achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • A hands-on approach with a focus on execution and results.
  • An understanding of our brand and ability to articulate how our video solutions align with client needs.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a hunger for success and a willingness to work on a performance-based compensation model.
