About the role:

Provide support to the Area as first mile landside transportation solutions subject matter expert in sales pursuits, solutions creation, training and product development. Will be responsible for proactively driving initiatives that add to the product GP in the Area. Work closely with the landside transportation solution teams globally, opportunity managers, solution engineers, vertical heads, commercial and program management organization where required. Act as a solutions focal point for your region’s business pursuit, ensuring necessary services and solutions are provided. Ensuring optimum margins through informed decisions on cost and pricing. Support NAM & global solution initiatives as necessary. Assist in driving the “one transportation” organization between Maersk landside and WnD drayage. Work with commercial contacts to accelerate the decarb strategy as it related to green trucking, green corridors, and increased value propositions for customers.

In this role, you will:

  • Be the landside transportation solutions subject matter expert to support the business where needed with best practices on operational set up and capabilities including interaction and onsite visits with customers

  • Drive regional solution product development and system enhancement initiatives based on North America customer / market requirements as well as productivity improvement initiatives

  • Keep informed on area/ regional / global first mile transportation projects and products in order to provide support as necessary across international and domestic supply chain management

  • Explore ideas and avenues for growing landside transportation solutions revenue by introducing new services, understanding current market gaps and needs or supporting global efforts to land new business

  • Work with global solution management teams and commercial heads (CCOs, vertical heads) to ensure proper product coverage and strategic approach for the ‘must-win’ pursuits

  • Ensure new NAM & global rollouts are made available to all Regional teams and provide strategic support and training for the region

  • Provide assistance for existing and prospective landside clients where required and work closely with origins and other Areas and Regions to optimize global profitability and decision making for delivering the outlined financial results

  • Work directly with the product head to help define the combined transportation organization between Landside and WnD drayage teams.

  • Accelerate decarb strategy as applicable to trucking (EV rollout) while exploring alternative green initiatives such as alternative fuels, hydrogen trucking, etc.

  • Grow the decarb landside product to include further establishing a strong value proposition for customers.

  • Performs other position related duties as specified by management

​What you bring:

Education & Technical Certification

  • High school degree, BA in related field preferred

Experience

  • 8 to 10 years of Logistics and Transportation experience required

  • A strong execution minded individual with proven account management and commercial skills, good judgment and strong operational understanding including an understanding of systems

  • Ability to make decisions in the absence of management

  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills

  • A well organized and self-directed individual who is a team player with a collaborative mindset

  • Self-motivated, who can complete tasks without supervision

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Ability to train, coach, evaluate and mentor

  • Strong and current knowledge of technology platforms, MS Office products, and ability to quickly adapt to new software

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders both internal and external

Job Type: Full Time

Salary: $140,000 - $170,000 USD*

Benefits: Full-time employees are eligible for Health Insurance, Paid Time Off, and 401k Match.

*The above-stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors, such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
