Head of Product, Autonomy
Los Angeles / San Francisco Bay Area (remote)
At Serve Robotics, we’re reimagining how things move in cities. Our personable sidewalk robot is our vision for the future. It’s designed to take deliveries away from congested streets, make deliveries available to more people, and benefit local businesses. The Serve fleet has been delighting merchants, customers, and pedestrians along the way in Los Angeles while doing commercial deliveries.
The Serve fleet has been delighting merchants, customers, and pedestrians along the way in Los Angeles while doing commercial deliveries. We’re looking for talented individuals who will grow robotic deliveries from surprising novelty to efficient ubiquity.
Who We Are
We are tech industry veterans in software, hardware, and design who are pooling our skills to build the future we want to live in. We are solving real-world problems leveraging robotics, machine learning and computer vision, among other disciplines, with a mindful eye towards the end-to-end user experience. Our team is agile, diverse, and driven. We believe that the best way to solve complicated dynamic problems is collaboratively and respectfully.
Own the product vision where it matters most by pushing what the hardware can do, leveraging sensor data, real-time decision-making, human interactions, and simulation-driven validation to define autonomous delivery on sidewalks. Collaborate with diverse teams (Perception and Prediction, Navigation, Mapping, Simulation, ML infrastructure, Hardware, Operations, Data, Design, QA, and more) to evolve where robots can travel in our cities and how they understand and react to the world around them.
Join us to shape what fleets of robots can and should do on delivery.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Vision:
Develop and drive a cross functional roadmap that aligns business and operational needs with autonomy advances that scale delivery and ensure safety.
Develop requirements and user stories that distill real world, stakeholder feedback, technical trade-offs, and data analysis into actionable features and scalable systems.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with engineering to set clear requirements and target performance metrics to ensure that our autonomous systems improve production KPIs whether it is expanding to new ODDs or developing features across different robot generations.
Mentor and uplevel the product and other non-engineering teams on their understanding of how autonomy can deliver value.
Future Product Development & Impact:
Own continuous improvement from initial problem assessment and benchmarking to post-launch performance analysis and iteration.
Performance driven, you are the go-to for analysis autonomy performance in the field.
Inform the next generation of robots by setting requirements for sensor capabilities and more.
Drive initiatives that enhance our Autonomy platform to unlock complementary secondary revenue streams and lead proof-of-concept (POC) projects to validate potential high-impact opportunities.
