We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Finance.
Reporting to the Director of Finance and Procurement, the Head of Finance will be responsible for the entire finance function, at an exciting time for the organisation.
The role
As Head of Finance, you will provide leadership to an overall team of 9 across transaction management, financial accounting and control, business partnering and management accounting to deliver quality, timely and business focused solutions and service to the business.
You will oversee the production of statutory and management accounts, maintenance and monitoring of internal controls and treasury management, development of financial policies and the implementation of these policies and ensuring compliance with financial governance and risk management requirements.
At the heart of the role is business partnering: you will drive forward a robust ethos of this personally and through your team. The business partnering team works with business leaders and budget holders to provide them the skills and tools to take strategic financial decisions and have greater financial accountability.

What we are looking for
- An experienced manager of a finance function ensuring timely delivery of objectives
- Excellent people development and coaching skills
- A qualified accountant
- A business partnering mindset
- Experience in the preparation of statutory financial statements
- Experience of dealing with a range of stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) with the ability to liaise with both finance and non-finance literate professionals.

- This is a hybrid role based in our Birmingham office a minimum of 2 days a week, and from home the rest of the week.
