About the Role

The Head of Corporate FP&A will be a key strategic leader within the finance team, responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial planning and analysis. This role demands a visionary with exceptional analytical skills and a deep understanding of financial forecasting, planning, and analysis within the fast-paced tech industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving growth and efficiency through strategic financial planning, with experience leading a company through the IPO process.

What you will do 

  • Annual Financial Planning: Provide visionary leadership on long-term business and financial planning, advising on strategic investments and financial management to sustain growth and enhance shareholder value. Lead the annual financial planning process, acting as the central organizer for cross-functional management of this process, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.
  • Champion the strategic development of advanced financial models, guiding the FP&A team in creating robust budgeting and forecasting tools that align with long-term business goals.Lead a high-level analysis of financial outcomes, leveraging historical data and predictive analytics to drive strategic decisions and identify growth opportunities.
  • Leverage financial data and analytics to identify emerging trends in the company’s financial performance and market dynamics. Engage in predictive analysis to forecast future trends and assess their potential impact on the business. Based on these insights, formulate strategic recommendations aimed at optimizing costs, enhancing revenue, and improving overall financial health.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses of the company's financial performance, comparing it with historical figures and forward-looking forecasts. Utilize a range of analytical tools and techniques to uncover variances, understand their root causes, and assess their impact on the business. Have the ability to influence business decisions leveraging data analytics.
  • Craft and deliver compelling financial narratives to senior management and board members, influencing key strategic decisions and aligning financial strategy with corporate objectives. 
  • FP&A Strategy and IPO Preparation: Create and execute on the FP&A strategy that supports the organization's growth and culminates with a successful IPO within the next 18 months. Collaborate with the controller to lay the groundwork for IPO readiness.
  • Financial Health and KPI Management: Own financial health metrics, including the development of non-GAAP metrics, tracking SLAs, and key weekly benchmarks 
  • Competitive Compensation Framework: Develop a compensation framework by benchmarking against other industry and SaaS competitors to ensure competitive positioning and performance.

 

Must Haves 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA highly preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within the technology or cybersecurity sectors.
  • Proven experience in leading a company through the IPO process, with a thorough understanding of the regulatory and reporting requirements.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing FP&A team.
  • Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills, with expertise in financial modeling and analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with all levels of the organization and external stakeholders.

 

Nice to Have 

  • Experience in the Cyber-security and SaaS industries
  • Experience working in a fast growth private company in series C or above
