Lovet, formerly AZPetVet, is seeking a dynamic Head Clinical Director to lead our growing family of 22 animal hospitals in Phoenix, AZ, as we embark on an exciting phase of hyper-growth. From the opening of Arrow Animal Hospital in 1984 to becoming a cornerstone of collaborative veterinary care, we’ve built our reputation on exceptional patient care and client service.

We are looking for a visionary Head Clinical Director to shape the future of veterinary medicine at Lovet by driving clinical excellence, innovation, and best practices. Reporting to the President, this role offers the opportunity to set strategic direction, enhance clinical operations, and influence meaningful outcomes across all Lovet hospitals.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Shape clinical policies, oversee clinical functions, and provide expertise to foster a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Collaboration: Partner with Growth, Finance, Operations, and People teams to align clinical, cultural, and financial goals.
- Quality Improvement: Lead clinical quality initiatives to enhance client satisfaction, provider engagement, and clinical outcomes while ensuring compliance with accreditation standards.
- Advocacy: Serve as the clinical voice for internal and external stakeholders, championing evidence-based practices and advancing new medical technologies.
- Team Development: Act as a mentor and advocate for clinical staff, fostering a supportive environment that aligns with Lovet’s core values.
- Innovation: Evaluate and implement cutting-edge technologies and services to keep Lovet at the forefront of veterinary medicine.
Requirements
- A valid DVM license in good standing, with a willingness to obtain licensure in states where Lovet operates.
- At least 8 years of practice experience and 3+ years in a clinical leadership role.
- Experience opening de novo hospitals (preferred).
- Proven ability to lead clinical teams, drive strategic results, and execute business processes effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal, mentoring, and communication skills.
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to balance clinical priorities with organizational objectives.
