Overview
The HCM Manager will be the technical lead for the transition and ongoing support to a new Human Capital Management (HCM) system, ensuring a seamless migration of data, processes, and functionalities. This role will oversee system implementation, software transition, process optimization, stakeholder collaboration, and change management efforts for stakeholders and end users. This role will ensure the system runs smoothly, data integrity is maintained, and the system meets the evolving needs of the HR department. The HCM Manager will work closely with HR, IT, vendors, and business leaders to ensure the successful transitions, adoption and maintenance of the new system while maintaining operational continuity.
This is a temporary position with an expected duration of 12 to 18 months. While there is no guarantee of extension or conversion to a permanent role, opportunities may be considered based on business needs and individual performance.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the HCM software implementation, day-to-day management, meet timelines, maintenance of HCM system, and stakeholder expectations.
- Lead system configuration, data migration, data maintenance, troubleshooting, and integration efforts to ensure smooth system transition.
- Collaborate with IT and external vendors to implement system functionalities in alignment with business needs.
- Conduct system testing, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate resolution with technical teams.
- Assess and document current HRIS processes, identifying areas for automation and improvement in the new HCM system.
- Define and implement best practices for HR data management, reporting, and system workflows.
- Ensure alignment between system capabilities and HR business processes to enhance efficiency and user experience.
- Oversee data cleansing, validation, and migration to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations, including GDPR, HIPAA, and internal policies.
- Develop governance policies for system access, permissions, and data maintenance.
- Assist in execution of training plans for HR, managers, and employees to support system adoption.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting during the transition period and beyond.
- Facilitate change management efforts, ensuring buy-in from key stakeholders and addressing system user and end-user concerns.
- Establish a roadmap for system stabilization and continuous improvements post-implementation.
- Ensure continuous system performance, user integration and user satisfaction for team members and key stakeholders.
- Define roles and responsibilities for long-term HCM management, ensuring knowledge transfer to HCM team members.
- Serve as a subject matter expert to support HR operations in transition, standing up, maintenance and utilizing the new system effectively.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- 5 years of experience with HRIS implementation, system transitions, or HR technology projects.
- Hands-on and technical experience with leading HCM platforms and transitions to new platform
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Strong understanding of HRIS/HCM architecture, system integrations, and data management.
- Experience with HR and IT reporting tools, data analytics, and process automation.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale HR technology projects, working cross-functionally with HR, IT, and business leaders.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools
- Ability to assess complex systems and workflows, recommending data-driven solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in developing user training materials and leading system adoption initiatives.
- PMP, PHR, SHRM-CP, or HRIP certification preferred or other certifications
- Experience leading an HCM system rollout in a multi-company or large-scale environment.
- Knowledge of HR compliance, payroll integrations, and talent management systems.
NDR role qualifications:
- Computer competency and ability to work with a computer.
- Prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Punctuality expected, ready to report to work on a consistent basis.
- Attain and maintain high performance expectations on a monthly basis.
- Work in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
- Use and navigate multiple computer systems with exceptional multi-tasking skills.

- This is a temporary position, expected to last 6 months with the potential for a conversion to a full time opportunity.

Compensation Information
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for each position across the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This good faith pay range is provided in compliance with NYC law and the laws of other jurisdictions that may require a salary range in job postings. The salary for this position is $128,000 to $150,000.Benefits
