About the Role:

Motive is searching for an Marketing Analytics Manager to focus on our Growth Strategy and Planning with a demonstrated track record of drawing insights from data, building business targets and forecasts, and managing cross-functional projects. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Growth Strategy & Operations, you will be instrumental in shaping Motive's Marketing and GTM growth strategy, assessing the impact of in-flight and new initiatives, setting targets, and monitoring and reporting out on performance of the business and key projects.

You will partner closely across marketing and other GTM teams on identifying, project managing, and measuring the levers Motive can pull to achieve its growth and efficiency goals. You will also heavily shape Marketing’s forecasts and functional planning, owning quantification and measurement of the impact of growth initiatives. The ideal candidate loves solving big challenges, finding ways to build new capabilities and improve existing processes, and working collaboratively across functions.

For this role, we are open to multiple backgrounds. In particular, we are looking for candidates from finance, consulting, banking, marketing analytics or any highly analytical roles that required you to solve complex business problems. As long as you have experience analyzing quantitative data, forecasting business performance, and driving strategic projects, you should apply.

What You'll Do:

  • Actively use analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, Tableau, Salesforce, etc. to conduct rigorous, data-driven analysis (including ROI and LTV:CAC) to support and make recommendations on strategic investment decisions
  • Define and closely monitor GTM and marketing KPIs to identify gaps to plan in leads, conversions, pipeline, and revenue, and own analyses to understand root causes
  • Collaborate across teams to develop strategies and get buy-in on initiatives, driving alignment across GTM functions and leaders on ROI, goals, tradeoffs, resource needs, and performance
  • Take charge of evaluating, building, managing, and handing off growth and efficiency initiatives
  • Lead the development of communications outlining priorities, progress, results, and key insights around marketing and initiative performance to key stakeholders

What We're Looking For:

  • 6+ years of experience, preferably in a consulting, finance or analytics role
  • 6+ years of experience conducting data analysis and forecasting
  • Individual contributor but someone who can influence various stakeholders and executives 
  • Specific experience with marketing a plus but not required
  • Advanced Excel and SQL experience required
  • Tableau or similar visualization tool a plus
  • Ability to pair qualitative insights with quantitative  
  • A track record of working and adapting to ambiguous, fast-moving settings
  • Ability to create structure around challenging problems
  • Individual contributor but someone who can lead & influence various stakeholders and executives 
  • Concrete experience building strong interpersonal relationships, working with cross-functional teams, and being collaborative, innovative, accountable, and reliable
  • Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics degree preferred) 
  • Remote role but must be located in the USA or Canada

Your compensation may be based on several factors, including education, work experience, and certifications. For certain roles, total compensation may include restricted stock units. The compensation range for this position will depend on where you reside. For this role, the compensation range is:

United States$104,000—$158,000 USD
