Shack Shine is looking for a Growth Marketing Manager in Vancouver or Toronto to join our growing team! Working cross-functionally and within the marketing function, you will help transform the future of Shack Shine by delivering paid and organic digital sales to our franchises across North America. 

We are looking for a strategic leader with the ability to think big and dive deep into the details. Reporting into the department head - Director, Marketing - you will own the marketing data and analytics as well as digital performance for this small but mighty team. You will be asked to bring ideas to life by implementing digital marketing initiatives including PPC, SEO, website performance and more.

Shack Shine is an exciting, fast-growing franchise that has founded a new home service industry of “House Detailing”. It is part of O2E Brands, the parent company of the hugely successful 1-800-GOT-JUNK?. This is a remote position with the expectation that you will be in our Toronto or Vancouver office around 25% of the time. 

Day in the Life

  • Marketing Channel Performance & Attribution: Transform how we measure marketing! Set-up, optimize, and report on our paid and organic marketing channels to help franchise partners reduce CAC and CPL and introduce ROAS. Implement attribution tracking of all paid media campaigns (e.g. PPC, Direct Mail, OTT, other), initiate call tracking (including vendor selection and implementation), and improve GA4 funnel tracking to sharpen our channel mix strategy and provide data-driven marketing investment coaching to franchises.
  • Search Engine Optimization: Lead the Shackshine.com website’s organic performance and search ranking via thought leadership and implementation of ongoing optimizations and initiatives. You will be responsible for strategic recommendations and leading our copywriter and SEO agency to deliver consistent page ranking and organic traffic improvements via blog content development and delivery of a ‘local SEO program’. At times you will implement technical SEO improvements within Wordpress and work with our developers and product team to optimize our website and franchise partners Google My Business listings to drive organic bookings. You will work with an outside agency to help expedite results, scale solutions, and track page ranking across geos.  
  • Website Testing & Engagement: Contribute to our test n’ learn approach to growth by initiating new tests and helping to roll-out the brand’s shackshine.com website redesign. Your role will be to reduce bounce rate and increase Online Booking Engine entries in partnership with our product director including landing page A/B testing with collaboration with our UX designer.
  • Growth Hacking & Demand Generation: Innovative solutionist with ability to find growth outside of traditional media channels e.g. understand the interconnectedness between operational capacity and customer conversion or convey importance of TOF advertising  and marketing investment to increase BOF conversions. 
  • Reporting & Analytics: Own the marketing dashboards (Lookerstudio & GA4) and ensure all paid and organic channel & platform performance is tracked accurately; escalate issues and opportunities and share insights & recommendations for growth. Ensure all campaigns managed by agency partners are accurately tracked and hold team and self accountable for driving sales results.  

 

What You Bring to the Table

  • Experience in growth marketing, digital marketing, in a fast-paced environment including start-ups, scale-ups, and agencies within a similar role.
  • Proven track record of driving growth and achieving customer acquisition goals and accountability over KPIs like ROAS, LTV:CAC, SSSG, and CPL. 
  • Attention to detail and passion for data - you strive for accuracy and continuity in reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with marketing analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, GA4, Tableau or Lookerstudio), and Google Tag Manager. 
  • Hands-on experience within PPC platforms including Google Adwords and Meta is required.
  • Hands-on experience with SEO including keyword research within SEM Rush or other platforms is preferred.
  • Passion for data - experience working with CRM platforms to measure revenue performance and ROAS (e.g. Salesforce or Hubspot) is preferred.
  • Ability to set up creative A/B tests and iterate on UX to optimize performance (e.g. Unbounce and VWO).
  • Value teamwork and working collaboratively to problem solve the best solutions for the business. 
  • Influential leadership skills that help you inspire cross-functional stakeholders, franchise partners, and agency partners. 
  • A “full-funnel” marketer with ability to think beyond digital to drive revenue growth throughout the path to purchase and familiarity with CRM (eg. Salesforce, Hubspot, Podium/SMS software, Callrail/Invoca, Live chat).
  • Creative and data-driven problem-solving skills to model out forecasts or calculate business impact before decision-making.  
  • Strong work project management ability and work ethic.

 

Compensation & Benefits 

  • Annual Salary is $84k - 105 (The actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience, and internal parity).
