Overview: MissionWired is seeking a Graphic Designer to assist in creating email and digital ad graphics. If you have a solid design foundation, excellent video editing and animation skills, a sharp eye for detail and file organization, and are eager to add to your skills in a collaborative, energetic work environment that’s fighting for social good, this job is for you!

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

  • Working closely with our digital strategy teams to understand the clients’ needs;
  • Creating design solutions that have a high visual impact and meet the objectives of the project;
  • Designing for a wide variety of digital projects including websites, infographics, email graphics, social media graphics, logos and more;
  • Developing creative and consistent branding based on design principles to produce high quality work product; 
  • Collaborating internally as well as with clients to conceptualize and execute creative solutions that can be translated across various media platforms; and 
  • Thinking creatively to push the boundaries of our ideas, concepts and execution.

Must-have qualifications:

  • Comfort developing digital design, motion graphics, designing for accessibility, and responsive design;
  • Working experience with Adobe Creative Suite with emphasis on Photoshop and After Effects;
  • Experience with and knowledge of creating graphics for email, including the creation of animated gifs with consideration for file size limitations;
  • Strong attention to detail;Ability to collaborate across teams and manage toward the desired design outcome;
  • Strong execution and skill in layout, typography, key art, logo design, animation, video, and other digital design components; 
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; 
  • Passion, integrity and energy; and
  • Ability to prioritize and self-manage deadlines and project milestones

Nice-to-have qualifications:

  • Background in politics, fundraising, or advocacy preferred but not required;
  • Experience reviewing and optimizing based on digital metrics is a plus;
  • Experience with digital illustration; and
  • Experience working with larger brands and complex brand guidelines.
Salary range for this role is $60,000 to $70,000 per year, depending on experience.
This position is included in a union-represented collective bargaining unit, and specific employment terms and conditions are subject to collective bargaining.
LocationWe are currently working remotely with no return to office date. Applicants may reside in the following states: AZ, CT, DC, FL, GA, IL, IN, LA, MA, MD, MN, MO, NC, NH, NJ, NM, OR, PA, SC, TX, VA, and WI. Due to FL legislation, MissionWired is required to participate in e-verify.
