About the role:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Graphic Designer to join our dynamic Creative & Engagement team. In this role, you will be responsible for the execution of a variety of creative deliverables that support internal and external events. This includes developing visual concepts, creating digital and print materials, and ensuring all designs align with client brand guidelines and event themes. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.

As a Graphic Designer, you will:
•    Produce a wide range of deliverables, including event branding, digital graphics, print collateral, signage, social media assets, presentations, and promotional materials for internal and external client events. 
•    Work closely with the Creative Director, Art Director and Creative Project Manager teams to understand project requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
•    Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to the overall creative process.
•    Ensure all designs adhere to client brand guidelines and meet the agency’s high standards for quality and creativity.
•    Review all press proofs to ensure quality production.
•    Troubleshoot design problems and articulates those challenges, as well as solutions to the appropriate team members.
•    Help drive the development of BCD M&E’s creative vision, brand integrity and specific visual style, delivering break through innovative designs.
•    Provide guidance and mentorship to members of the Graphic Designer team.

 

You’re good at:
•    Strong ability to explain design rationale to internal and/or external clients. 
•    Understanding effective design and communication, including conceptualization, production artwork, pre-press, printing technologies and web, Internet, design, software technologies. 
•    Staying up to date with industry trends and best practices to continuously bring fresh ideas and innovative solutions to the team
•    Handling multiple priorities and manage personal workflow and schedules in the midst of stressful and difficult circumstances. 
•    Teamwork. It takes a village.

 

You might also have:
•    Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or similar discipline is required.
•    Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in graphic design, preferably within an events agency or related industry
•    Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working directly with a client or client team.
•    Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design software.
•    Understanding of print production processes and vendor management. 
•    Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work, including digital and print deliverables. 

 

You should know:
•    This role is virtual or in-office at our Chicago, Illinois headquarters. We work in the Central Time zone.  
•    Our standard working hours are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CT with an hour-long break.

We carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors, including your professional background and experience. The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Graphic Designer is between $55,000 - $65,000 The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience, geographical location, and project budget.
