Responsibilities

The role of this entry level Graphic Designer is primarily responsible for the design of B2C and B2B brand enhancing creative used in the retail space to sell the New Jersey Lottery product. In addition to point of purchase design, this position provides internal support developing a variety of materials for the sales and marketing teams. Typical design projects may include, but are not limited to, developing point of purchase assets from creative layout through delivery, newsletters, one-sheet training flyers, brochures, logo work, social media posts, game design, play slips, event and promotional collateral, t-shirts, PowerPoint themes, memos, and professional document layout and graphics.

  • Work with teams to design/revise exciting and innovative point of purchase collateral for the retail sales channel. Primary responsibility includes development of planograms, menu mats, winner awareness banners/stars, instant ticket inserts, etc.
  • Provide design work and support across all areas of Marketing, including promotional team event collateral, advertising assets (print pieces, social posts, digital ads, coupons), game support (play slips, logo work), research assistance (resizing files for use in research studies), etc.
  • Shepherd each project assigned through delivery phase (working with printer for specs, handling bleed/die lines, uploading files to printer website, color proofing, archiving layered files, etc.). May include extensive collaboration (and factory visits) with printers for non-standard projects like cardboard standee units or innovative retail solutions.
  • Update and track progress of all current jobs assigned through WorkFront routing system and software platform.
  • Review job details and as needed, communicate with key stakeholders by project to ensure creative briefs and job direction is clear and understood prior to design creation.
