Purpose of Position
Provide the administrative support required to operate an efficient office, fulfill the primary mission of the Office of Student Finance by providing information and services to undergraduate, graduate, and professional students who require financial assistance to attend the University of North Dakota, and maintain compliance with Federal, State and University policies and regulations governing eligibility and disbursement of educational financial aid.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Complete student financial aid processes as determined by Student Finance Leadership
- Manage and process financial aid eligibility for the Federal Grant Programs: Pell, SEOG and Teach
- Manage Tuition Assistance (TA)
- Manage Days of Instruction Report (DOI)
- Process Authorization Failure Report
- Other duties as assigned
- Provide general customer service and office managementĀ
- Provide backup coverage to data processing, mail and email.
- Effectively communicate with students and staff and promote a positive work environment.
- Work closely with One Stop Student Service staff to resolve student service situations.
- Provide back-up assistance to all account tech positions in Student Finance when needed.
- Maintain front desk reception area and provide occasional customer service.
- Continuous process improvementĀ
- Proactively identify, analyze, and improve upon existing business processes within position and/or within SF/One-Stop
- Use data to identify priorities and monitor outcomes.
- Work with SF and One-Stop teams to implement and promote process improvements to optimize workflow and student service.
