Job Responsibilities:
 

Data Governance Implementation

• Assist in the development and implementation of data governance policies, procedures, and standards.

• Support the maintenance of data dictionaries, metadata repositories, classification, and data lineage documentation.

• Contribute to the development of governance frameworks.

Compliance

• Assist in the conduct of data audits and risk assessments to ensure adherence to data governance standards.

• Support Lead Data Steward, as well as legal and compliance teams to address data governance issues and support regulatory reporting.

Data Stewardship Support

• Support collaboration with data stewards to ensure data governance policies are effectively implemented.

• Assist in training and support to data stewards and business users on data governance practices.

• Assist in resolving data-related issues and ensuring data governance processes are followed.

Reporting and Analysis

• Prepare reports and dashboards on data governance activities and KPIs.

• Conduct data analysis to identify areas for improvement and non-compliance.

• Support data governance initiatives by providing analytical and project management support.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Management, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or professional experience.

• 3+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or related roles preferably within the insurance industry.

• Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., SQL, Phyton, etc.).

• Strong understanding of data governance principles, data quality management, and regulatory requirements.

• Proficiency in data governance tools and technologies (e.g., data catalogs, data lineage tools).

• Experience and understanding of conceptual data models and data ecosystem.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Experience with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) is highly desirable.

• Certifications in data governance (e.g., CDMP, DGSP) are a plus.

Base Salary Range:
