Your MissionTo take a DTC e-commerce company from break-even to $1.5MM/year in profit. We've already validated this company—it's generating real revenue and is default alive. Your job is to turn it into a profit machine.
You'll personally own the growth strategy, make hard calls under pressure, build (and rebuild) until the math works, and win - or walk away knowing you weren't ready.

Position DescriptionLevel Sports, Inc. is a Mechanism portfolio company that produces high-quality PrimePutt putting mats, allowing golfers to train on the same surface PGA professionals use.
As the GM of Growth & Operations at Level Sports, Inc., you will be responsible for scaling and leveraging the existing profitable foundation into an enterprise. You will be responsible for the entire business, including P&L ownership, physical product operations and development, growth marketing, hiring and managing a core team, and an ultimate liquidity event, whether M&A or IPO.
Initially, you will be the primary person executing most tasks and day-to-day work to scale, including paid media and partnership marketing. Multiple logistics contractors and the Mechanism team of growth experts are engaged and ready to support you, and you will have the ability to hire contractors or full-time team members to assist in key areas as you see fit. You’re an ideal candidate if you enjoy being hands-on while driving operational excellence and developing a deep understanding of the business.
However, your role will quickly evolve. You will be responsible for rapidly scaling the organization, building a leadership team, and using the profitable foundation to unlock new areas for exponential growth.
As the GM of Growth & Operations, you will have access to Mechanism’s in-house Practice Areas for operational support across Growth, Product, Engineering, Design, Operations, People, Finance, and Legal. Our in-house experts are at the top of their fields and are here to provide world-class strategic guidance and execution.
In this role, you will operate independently, with support from MV, to manage operations and logistics while reporting directly to the CEO of Mechanism Ventures. After successfully scaling Level Sports to $ 1.5 million in the first year, this position will transition to allow you to build your own team.
For candidates located in New York, Washington, Colorado, California, and Illinois, the base salary range is $170,000 - $220,000 USD. Key Responsibilities
- Own and be accountable for rapid growth and the business P&L.
- Oversee and execute day-to-day operations, including inventory and supplier management, management of our warehouse and third-party logistics team, and ensuring customer satisfaction. You’ll need to be comfortable doing most of the work yourself at first and then bringing in resources when the time is right.
- Manage all supplier relationships, including nylon turf production, rubber and plastic parts injection molding, woodworking, and more.
- Own and develop the strategic vision of the business in coordination with the board of directors.
- Drive numerous growth marketing initiatives to help drive business growth and learning. This will include paid media, organic, affiliate, influencer, and retention marketing.
- Manage growth analytics to drive performance across all funnels.
- Identify, test, and scale new customer acquisition channels and product expansions.

Location and Time CommitmentWe are fully remote. You can work wherever you’re most productive. This role is full-time and must overlap with US ET for most of the workday. This challenging opportunity demands a level of dedication beyond the standard 9 to 5.Our compensation packages are designed to make this your dream job for both the short and long term. Each compensation package includes a base salary and a significant equity stake.For candidates located in New York, Washington, Colorado, California, and Illinois, the base salary range is $170,000 - $220,000 USD.
