Contract roles are geared toward independent professionals interested in temporary or project-based work.
Sia Title: Project Consultant (Exempt Contractor)
Project Title: Global Payroll Senior Project Manager
Level: Mid-Senior
Project Length: This is a temporary position with an expected duration of 24 months (with potential extension)
Project Hours: 40 hours/ week
Location: Hybrid- Seattle
The expected compensation range for this contract is $95k to $115k per hour. The exact pay rate will vary depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to skills, experience, and location.
Key Responsibilities: One of our premier clients is seeking a Global Payroll Senior Project Manager. The Global Payroll Senior Project Manager will be responsible for Provide support and collaborate with the Deputy Director, Payroll to providing thought leadership and expertise with the following activities and outcomes.
Work with the Deputy Director to define the charter of the team (vision, mission, goals) - refresh from the existing team charter
Thought leadership in organizational design (OD) and structure of the payroll team to support the vision
Perform gap analysis of current state vs. future state capabilities (functions, skills, operating model, tools)
Provide a recommendation of the org plan based on gap analysis with consideration of leadership and team readiness
Implementing and collaborating on solutions to complex operational payroll issues based on understanding of global payroll processes and the Foundation’s HRIS and payroll system
Reviewing and scaling processes across all regional offices and affiliated entities, focusing on efficiencies and best practices
Providing technical guidance and support to team members related to book of business and payroll projects.
Qualifications
- 10+ years payroll systems experience
- Has advised and supported clients through payroll system migrations, upgrades, and implementations.
- Experience in reviewing payroll processes for efficiencies and advise on/develop a long-term payroll strategy. Index on specific payroll technical experience and OD would be a plus.
Proficiency with payroll software and systems (experience with WorkDay, international third-party service providers preferred)
Superior organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Knowledge of Global Mobility policies and compensation and experience managing both US and global payroll
Project management skills and ability to review the work of others, including external vendors.
Deep interest in process improvement and utilization of technology
Preference for Seattle, but open to remote based on experience.
2 year role with FTE conversion potential depending on team need.
