Global Expert Strategic Financing & Treasury - Part Time (f/m/d)

Starting date: April 2025
Compensation package: Part-time: €45,000–€50,000 in yearly salary, €20,000–€40,000 in equity, OR, Full-time: €90,000 - €100,000 in yearly salary, €40,000 - €80,000 in equity. Additionally up to €5,000 p.a. in company benefits
Work model: Hybrid in Munich or remote in Germany, Part-Time (20 hours per week, flexible up to 40 hours)

Your Role

As our Global Expert Treasury (m/f/d), you are responsible for shaping and executing Orbem’s financing strategy and ensuring compliance with best practices. You will work closely with the Director of Finance to define, establish, and implement our financing strategy, supporting our team of over 130 people.

Your dedication to creating financing strategies, combined with a focus on executing, optimizing, and automating Treasury processes, supports our growth, which has been fueled by over EUR 30 million in Series A funding.

Our goal is to ensure the financial health of Orbem through optimal financing strategies and implement the most efficient Treasury processes. 

Your day-to-day

As the primary contact for Global Treasury, you will shape Treasury processes in compliance with national and international standards. 

Your responsibilities include: 

• Maintain all global banking relationships and strong communications with banks and other financial service providers

• Develop strategic finance initiatives (e.g. M&A and financing requirements) in partnership with key stakeholders

• Ensure sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements

• Ensure efficient cash management within the whole group including oversight of electronic cash receipts and cash disbursement processing

• Monitor quarterly and annual compliance with loan agreements

• Manage excess operating cash to obtain optimum interest revenue

• Manage currency and interest-rate risk

Experience and skills

• Master’s degree in finance or related discipline.

• 5+ years of experience in Finance / Treasury.

• Deep technical understanding of debt financing and modern Treasury processes.

• Proven capability to define and execute treasury processes and ensure regulatory compliance.

• Fluent in English and German, possessing great communication skills. 

• You leverage your critical thinking and analytical skills in decision-making.

What makes you stand out from other candidates

• You have successfully defined and executed multiple global financing strategies. 

• You have assumed project management roles in the past.

• You have successfully implemented or substantially changed existing Treasury processes.

• You have experience with managing currency risks. 

• You have been the primary contact person for external stakeholders such as banks.

• Experience with Netsuite is a plus.
