Raytheon’s Legal, Compliance, and Contracts (LCC) organization is seeking an experienced counsel to join our Global Ethics and Compliance (GEC) Investigations team. The GEC Investigations Counsel is responsible for leading investigations related to allegations of potential violations of legal and regulatory requirements and/or Raytheon’s Code of Conduct, drafting disclosures and/or reports regarding verified violations (as applicable), and coordinating with business stakeholders to assess root cause and develop corrective actions. The Investigations Counsel conducts internal investigations of allegations regarding certain government contracting laws and misconduct matters such as allegations of retaliation, harassment, financial fraud, and potential insider threats. Reporting to the Senior Director & Associate General Counsel for GEC Investigations, the selected candidate will be a member of Raytheon’s GEC team within the LCC organization.
What You Will Do
Lead and conduct all aspects of investigations of potential violations of Company policy and/or law including certain government contracting laws and/or policies
Provide counsel on legal and regulatory issues that arise in connection with GEC investigations
Analyze allegations and investigation findings to determine regulatory and other external reporting requirements and drafting disclosures and reports for submission to government agencies and/or internal stakeholders as needed
Partner with stakeholders to conduct root cause analyses and develop, manage, and validate effective corrective action plans
Partner and work collaboratively with members of the GEC team and stakeholders across the Company to provide investigation status updates and report on trends, compliance risks, and corrective actions
Assist in the development, implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of Raytheon and RTX policies, standard work, and processes for investigations
Domestic and some international travel is required about 15% of the time
Qualifications You Must Have
Juris Doctor Degree (J.D.) and 10+ years of legal experience
Must be admitted to the Bar of at least one U.S. State
5+ years of relevant investigations and/or compliance experience
Experience conducting, guiding, and/or managing internal investigations and drafting disclosures
