ABOUT THE ROLE

The Proposal Management team is responsible for overseeing the creation of high-quality proposals and managing the efficient proposal process. This role ensures the effective organization and coordination of the various phases of the proposal process, as well as the experts involved in the proposal creation. A high level of communication skills is essential, particularly in interactions with clients. Proposal Management is accountable for ensuring that the proposals are comprehensive, tailored to the client's needs, and perceived as convincing sales documents by our customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the analysis of client tenders to assess commercial requirements and qualify the internal business case, as well as the client’s business case.

• Create commercial solution models and integrate proposal cost calculations.

• Moderate and support solution finding in complex, cross-portfolio tenders concerning the commercial model and its interaction with the technical solution and delivery model.

• Ensure the consistency of commercial documents presented to the client.

• Ensure internal process compliance for the commercial model and its financial metrics.

• Simulate commercial scenarios and negotiation strategies.

• Initiate and moderate internal quality assurance activities (e.g., P2W, WSL).

• Provide situational development and support for the proposal team across the task spectrum.

REQUIREMENTS

• Versatile, experienced IT professional with a university degree (technical or business-related) or equivalent qualifications and more than 10 years of professional experience in IT project management and/or IT services.

• Strong understanding of business cases, billing models, and their translation into IT contracts (service, work, service contracts).

• Good understanding of the business model of a full IT service provider.

• Strong understanding of internal sales and approval processes, as well as internal reviews (Quality Gates), aimed at effective collaboration in the proposal creation process.

• Expertise in proposal costing and financial engineering, particularly with Excel.

• Structured and proactive working style.

• Assertive, goal-oriented, persistent, empathetic, creative, flexible, resilient, motivating, able to manage complexity, and capable of delivering desired results within the given timeframe.

• Confident presence and communication skills, along with fluent written and spoken German and English.
