The National Security Sector at Leidos is actively seeking a Functional Analyst to provide DoD Ammunition SME analysis to support software programming within to the National Level Ammunition Capability (NLAC) program. The National Level Ammunition Capability (NLAC) system enhances munitions logistics planning and management by assisting the Army and Joint Ammunition Community, including ammunition users, managers, and planners throughout the Department of Defense. NLAC provides a web-based total asset visibility system that receives its data from the Services' ammunition management and visibility systems and DoD transportation and document tracking systems.
Responsibilities Include:
Apply specific ammunition logistics knowledge and expertise to troubleshoot complex issues.
Develop, design, and perform feasibility studies and functional systems test for complex integrated information management systems.
Analyze, understand, and sustain the existing capabilities of the NLAC system, as well as working to incorporate additional new capabilities developed from customer specifications.
Thoroughly review customer driven functional regulations and transfer those specifications into technical objectives for the NLAC system.
Provide functional, technical, and administrative direction to software development and functional tasks.
Provide the government with comprehensive functional and technical reports used as the basis for the development of the NLAC application.
Participate in the ongoing design of the NLAC application, perform functional review of Service data and logistics management systems to identify data elements and data element sources that meet the visibility criteria.
Identify and manage relationships with multiple interfaces and resources to achieve project objectives.
Review work products against functional criteria.
Monitor software development progress against established milestones.
Perform functional and technical analysis in defining and modeling current and projected NLAC application software capabilities.
Act as the primary point of contact for the NLAC user community, providing technical assistance and training in the use of the NLAC application.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive NLAC user’s manual.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Education:
Bachelor’s Degree with 8 or more years of relevant experience in DoD ammunition logistics. Additional years of training, certifications, and/or expertise may be considered in lieu of education directives.
Currently possess an active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret Clearance upon hire.
Proven knowledge and expertise with ammunition processes and service APSRs as well as NLAC; a working knowledge of logistics management principles, concepts, policies, and regulations.
Demonstrated abilities in ammo requests, receipt, storage, issue and inventory specifications.
Frequently works with or leads other members of project team.
Responsible for guidelines, test studies, and management – assessing customer needs.
Utilize cases and support software testing as a Subject Matter Expert (SME). Enhancing document discussions, meetings, and agreements.
Established knowledge of life cycle support requirements.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $80,600.00 - $145,700.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
