Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Software Engineer to join our team!

Required Qualifications:

• This opportunity requires the selected candidate to be eligible and willing to obtain a Department of Defense TS/SCI level security clearance which requires US citizenship while working in support of a government contract

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other technical discipline or additional experience is acceptable in lieu of a degree

• Minimum of 8 years of total work experience

• Experience with designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance back-end services and APIs.

• A minimum of 5 years of Extensive experience with modern programming languages (Java, TypeScript, JavaScript)

• Experience with creating web applications (Angular)

• Relational database development experience (PostgreSQL)

• In-depth knowledge of software engineering and programming concepts

• Strong organizational and prioritization skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative/distributed team environment

Desired Qualifications:

• Expertise in containerized application development and management, preferably with a strong familiarity of Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience with asynchronous messaging frameworks, (Kafka)

• Advanced knowledge in object-oriented analysis and design techniques

• Experience with source control systems (Git, Bitbucket)

• Strong leadership skill and a desire to provide guidance to junior team members

• Familiarity with agile development principles and practices (SAFe, JIRA)

• Masters of Science in Software Engineering and/or Computer Science is a plus

Salary Range: $108,700.00 - $190,200.00
