About the Engineering Team

At Casebook, our Engineering team drives innovation and efficiency across our technological infrastructure. This team of passionate experts collaborates with cross-functional teams to build seamless deployment pipelines, champion best practices, and stay at the forefront of emerging technologies. Their work ensures Casebook remains agile and adaptive in a rapidly evolving landscape.

Your Impact

As a Full Stack Engineer (Level II), you’ll play a pivotal role in building and delivering expertise in enterprise cloud-native software development. In this role, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams—including designers, product managers, and infrastructure engineers—to build and deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.

You’ll contribute to our Agile development process, enhance engineering standards, and support the implementation of the Casebook Platform, serving both small nonprofits and large-scale government agencies.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

• Lead technical design, integration, implementation, and testing of enterprise SaaS human services systems.

• Develop and enhance software architecture, including persistence and structural design patterns.

• Translate business objectives into technical requirements and solutions.

• Design, implement, and troubleshoot API integrations within a complex ecosystem.

• Contribute to the development of Casebook platform functionality using state-of-the-art frameworks.

• Maintain high security, extensibility, reusability, and testing standards in system architecture.

• Stay ahead of emerging technologies and apply them effectively.

• Build solutions that make a real difference for vulnerable populations.

Qualifications

What You Bring (Skills and Experience)

✅ Strong experience in full-stack web development (Java, GraphQL, React required).

✅ Experience building microservices architectures.

✅ Proficiency in RESTful APIs using OpenAPI standards.

✅ Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Redis, S3, Redshift, Apache Kafka, Lambda, and EMR.

✅ Previous leadership experience in major IT application implementations.

✅ Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify roadblocks.

✅ Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

✅ Proficiency in Git and version control systems.

✅ Experience with IT security best practices.

✅ Background in software testing, including unit, integration, and performance testing.

✅ Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation.

✅ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).

💵 Compensation: $110,000 - $140,000
