An overview of this role

As a Frontend Engineer, Digital Experience, you’ll work closely with product marketing, content marketing, and other members of the Marketing team to create user friendly pages and features to educate prospective customers on how GitLab enables them to deliver software faster and more securely. 

The Digital Experience team primarily develops the about.gitlab.com marketing site, but our work spans across the entire portfolio of projects at GitLab.

You'll be working alongside a team of experienced Senior Engineers who are committed to mentoring and supporting your growth. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills while maintaining high-impact, production-grade code. We leverage GitLab's own platform for our entire development workflow, from planning to deployment, with a streamlined deployment process.

What You’ll Do  

  • Work with the Marketing Strategy and Platforms team and other stakeholders (Content, DemandGen, Brand, etc.) to iterate on new features and improvements to GitLab’s digital marketing platform.
  • Consistently ship small features and improvements to our Slippers design system
  • Help improve the overall experience of our Marketing website through improving the quality of the Frontend features.
  • Help identify areas of improvements in the code base that help contribute to make it better.
  • Help plan sprints and complete prioritized issues from the issue tracker.
  • Partner with team members on the simplest solutions to problems.
  • Develop features and enhancements to GitLab’s marketing site in a secure, well-tested, and performant way.
  • Craft code that meets our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale web environment. Maintain and advocate for these standards through code review.
