About the Role
We are seeking a junior to mid-level Video Editor to collaborate on an exciting YouTube channel project focused on “launching a startup a week.” In this role, you will work closely with the content creator to compile video content into engaging and visually compelling videos. The workload will involve producing two videos per week on a part-time, long-term basis. You will be instrumental in shaping the channel's visual storytelling, ensuring videos are polished, dynamic, and aligned with the creator's vision.
The ideal candidate will have a creative approach to video editing and a strong understanding of visual effects, storytelling techniques, and thumbnail design. Your work will allow the creator to focus on developing content while you bring the channel's ideas to life for its growing audience.
This is a remote role, providing flexibility in terms of location and schedule, and offers an excellent opportunity to grow with an evolving channel.
Requirements
- Proven experience in video editing, with a strong portfolio showcasing storytelling and creativity.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
- Skills in applying visual effects and designing eye-catching video thumbnails.
- Strong understanding of pacing, transitions, and visual storytelling techniques.
- Ability to meet deadlines and produce two high-quality videos per week.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with the content creator.
- Open to junior or mid-level editors, with rates between $25-75 per hour, depending on experience.
- Availability for long-term collaboration.
