About the Role
We are seeking a Music Producer to provide recording and music production direction and assistance for a singer-songwriter who has written over 40 songs. This role involves collaborating to help record and refine 1-3 songs over the course of a month, with the potential for follow-up work. The artist's music draws from a wide range of inspirations, including Bossa Nova, Samba, Jazz, and classic American and British bands such as The Beach Boys, The Beatles, and Led Zeppelin. Familiarity with these styles and the ability to creatively incorporate them into the recording process is highly desired.

The artist already has the necessary equipment, including a MacBook Pro, Focusrite Scarlett 2i2, Logic Pro, and various instruments, but needs guidance in managing the recording process, navigating tempo changes, and enhancing the overall quality of the music. This is an opportunity to bring your expertise to shape diverse and dynamic tracks influenced by both classic and contemporary styles, including artists like Amy Winehouse and George Martin's productions.

This is a remote role, and we’re looking for a mid-level to senior producer with the skills to provide musical direction, assist with recording strategies, and ensure the final product reflects the artist’s creative vision.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a music producer with a diverse portfolio showcasing work across genres like Bossa Nova, Jazz, Classic Rock, and contemporary styles.
• Expertise in Logic Pro and familiarity with the artist’s equipment (Focusrite Scarlett 2i2, controller keyboards, and microphones).
• Ability to navigate tempo changes and work with complex song structures.
• Strong understanding of arranging, recording, and producing music inspired by a variety of styles and eras.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate remotely and guide the artist through the recording process.
• Mid-level to senior expertise, with rates between £35-100 per hour, depending on experience.
• Availability to deliver 1-3 songs within a month with potential for future projects.
