YOUR MISSION
As a Flight Software Engineering Manager at True Anomaly, you will use your knowledge and gain new experience at every phase of the spacecraft program including design, analysis, manufacturing, test, and flight. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide leadership with the software development cycle including design, development, integration, and test for command and data handling, hardware I/O, advanced algorithms, and spacecraft controlÂ
- Plan, coordinate, and track execution of software delivery teams Â
- Build and mentor a technical staff of flight/embedded software engineersÂ
- Create, track, and communicate status of milestones and key performance metricsÂ
- Support the Director of Flight Software in strategic and tactical planningÂ
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field and 6+ years of experience with real-time, multi-threaded software developmentÂ
- 2+ years of experience managing a software development teamÂ
- Proficiency in C++Â
- Low-level device driver development and safety critical systems experienceÂ
- Demonstrated experience and discipline with version control, continuous integration, and continuous delivery practicesÂ
- Familiarity with embedded LinuxÂ
- Familiarity with common protocols such as UDP, TCP, I2C, RS422, etc.Â
- Excellent verbal and written communication skillsÂ
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEÂ
- Masterâs degree in in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related fieldÂ
- 10+ years of experience with real-time, multi-threaded and/or embedded software developmentÂ
- 4+ years of experience managing a software development team in an agile workflowÂ
- Deep proficiency in C++Â
- Proficiency with PythonÂ
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, and GitHubÂ
- Experience with a variety of âŚ
