Fire Extinguisher Engineer - Kent
FAFS Fire & Security specialise in designing, installing, commissioning and servicing automatic Fire Detection, Protection and Alarm Systems in and around Greater London. We are currently looking to appoint a new Fire Extinguisher Engineer specifically covering the Kent region.
Basic Salary up to £30,000 per annum subject to experience

FAFS Fire & Security's Fire Extinguisher Engineer’s
Service recharge, inspect and maintain fire extinguishers on customer sites to relevant British Standards. Attend callouts to carry out required repairs to Fire Extinguishing Equipment, Fire Alarms, Emergency Lighting and Fire Suppression Systems. To represent the Company in a professional manner in order to maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
- Service fire extinguishers on a regular basis in accordance with relevant British Standards
- Clean, refill, repair and recharge fire extinguishers as required
- Carry out the installation of new fire extinguishers and fire safety equipment
- Undertake routine service visits as directed by the Service Department
- Provide high levels of customer service at all times
- Ensure accurate records are kept of all visits made, inspections carried out, work completed and ensure all paperwork is completed competently and promptly
- Advise customers of any remedial action required and produce estimates for these works
- Carryout fire extinguisher surveys
- Carryout visual inspection of all fire detection and alarm devices as detailed within BS 5839 pt. 1 1988 on a routine basis
- Conduct simple fire alarm testing refer to section 4 BS 5839 but only at customers request
- Maintain contact with your Line Manager throughout the day and advise of any relevant issues
- Participate in out-of-hours duties as part of an on-call rota
Requirements

- Minimum of 2 years servicing experience
- Ability to meet the demands of the role and work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge and experience of the relevant British Standards and regulations
- A full UK driving license
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good problem-solving skills
