Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Fire Alarm Field Technician (NICET II) to join our team! In this role, you will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all fire alarm systems, fire suppression systems, fire hydrants, and fire pumps. This position is full time OCONUS in Doha, Qatar.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Perform inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm and mass notification systems on Diplomatic installations.
- Be knowledgeable in DoS regulations, NFPA Codes and the Unified Facility Criteria (UFC’s) pertaining to Life Safety and be able insure compliance of the system.
- Familiar with Fire Alarm Systems and security components from various manufacturers for implementing (ITM’s) and service work per NFPA regulations and DoS / Government requirements.
- Familiarity with integration of new components into existing Alarm and Detection systems, Suppression Systems, and Mass Notification Systems.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Coordinate and schedule maintenance tasks to minimize disruption and ensure timely completion.
- Conduct regular inspections and tests of fire and life safety systems to ensure functionality and compliance.
- Train and supervise maintenance staff, ensuring they follow safety protocols and best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide technical support as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments and external contractors to ensure seamless operations and maintenance.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- High School diploma
- 3-5 years of experience in maintaining fire alarm systems, fire suppression systems, or other similar fields.
- Minimum NICET Level II certification in Fire Alarm Systems or equivalent.
- Upon sponsorship you must be able to obtain a Qatar ID (QID).
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, fire suppression systems, fire hydrants, and fire pumps.
- Excellent leadership and supervisory skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Secret Clearance
