Fire Alarm & Extinguisher Engineer - Yorkshire Region

Morgan Fire Protection specialises in the delivery of planned and corrective maintenance of fire detection systems and portable extinguishers. While the majority of Morgan Fire’s operational resources are based around London, we provide national coverage through our reactive delivery model. We are currently looking to appoint a new Fire Alarm & Extinguisher Engineer to join our team servicing the Yorkshire Region - ideally located in/around Leeds.

 Basic Salary – up to £30,000 per annum

Morgan Fire Protection’s Fire Alarm & Extinguisher Engineer’s

Carry out routine maintenance, service, and repairs on fire detection systems and portable extinguishers at customer sites, ensuring they are kept in good working order and in accordance with current regulations and standards.

  • Inspect and test fire alarm systems and portable extinguishers, checking for any faults or issues.
  • Conduct routine service visits, ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and documentation for maintenance and repair work.
  • Respond to emergency call-outs and undertake any necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain good relationships with clients.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry regulations and advancements in fire safety technology.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.

Requirements

Who We’re Looking For

As well as having all the usual attributes of a great Morgan Fire Protection employee, such as; a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, well presented and professional at all times, ability to work alone and as part of a team….. For this specific opportunity, we are looking for candidates who offer:

  • Experience working as a Fire Alarm Engineer or similar role.
  • Experience in maintaining and servicing fire alarm systems and portable extinguishers.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards (e.g. BS 5839, BS 5306).
  • Strong technical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Full UK driving licence.
