We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join us as a Financial Modelling Analyst. The role will report into the Modelling Lead and the aim to ensure the long-term success of the business by focusing on our long-term financial planning across the Group. Working with the wider FP&A and Business Planning teams, the role holder will be ideally placed to make connections across the business and drive uniformity across short, medium- and long-term plans.

 

Key responsibilities will include: 

 

  • Maintenance, evolution and adaption of the Corporate Model, bringing together the Group’s financial performance over the long-term to understand and report the impact of plans on key financial metrics
  • Monitor the in-year and longer-term Return on Regulatory Equity (“RoRE”) forecast and develop the model to encompass all elements of RoRE, supporting delivery of RoRE in line with expectations at year end
  • Work alongside the Group FP&A Reporting and Business Planning teams to understand our in-year financial position and future business plans and their impact from a regulatory finance perspective
  • Continuously develop and improve existing processes for automation and standardisation
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of regulatory finance to clearly and simply translate between the statutory and regulatory worlds
  • Support the wider finance and regulation teams throughout Ofwat’s price review process and act as a key advisor to the wider finance team on regulatory issues
