Job Title: Financial Crime Quality Assistant Manager
Working Pattern: 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday (09:00-17:00, with a 45 minute lunch break)
Salary: Up to £45,000 and up to 20% bonus and benefits

Financial Crime Operations (FC Ops)
We’re building an amazing, centralised department and we’re looking for an ambitious and purpose-driven Financial Crime Quality Assistant Manager to join us.
You will be part of the management team of the Financial Crime Operations (FC Ops) department, reporting to the Financial Crime Operations Manager. The department is in an exciting transformation phase, where FC Ops are creating a first line centralised function that will support all products offered by Tandem. This expansion will provide the successful candidate with opportunities to play a fundamental role in affecting organisational change.
What you will be working on:
Quality oversight:
- Execute risk based and proportionate quality assurance reviews to assess compliance with internal procedures and processes.
- Provide feedback and where required, propose actions to enhance compliance.
- Consider the output of oversight reviews and drive forward any changes identified.
- Work collaboratively with relevant departments (e.g. Learning and Development, Customer Outcome Testing Team etc) to ensure consistency in standards and approach across the bank.
Training & Awareness:
- Working collaboratively with the FC Ops management team to determine training needs for the department.
- Support FC Ops through accreditation to evidence capability in required skills and knowledge.
- Design and deliver departmental training routinely and on an ad-hoc basis.
- In accordance with the financial crime training strategy, own the 1LOD activities in relation to training and awareness.
Documentation:
- Create and maintain FC Ops procedural and process documentation.
What we're looking for:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Risk, Compliance and/or Quality role within FCA regulated financial services firms.
- Hold a professional qualification or a desire to work towards achieving this.
- Knowledge of UK financial crime legislation, regulation and best practice.
- Ability to deliver outcomes in a sensitive and productive manner.
- Strong ability to analyse information and make informed decisions with accurately documented rationales.
- Focus on continuous improvement and the ability to drive forward change.
- Confident in developing and delivering training to an exemplary standard to different audiences and through different mediums.
- Desire to up-skill and cross-skill within the financial crime space
- Ability to draft professional and comprehensive documentation in line with business and industry standards
- A passion for sharing professional experience and the technical development of team members.
