We are looking for a Financial Analyst, FP&A to join our growing Finance team. In this role, you will leverage your analytical skills and attention to detail to drive accurate financial reporting and process improvements, directly impacting the company's financial performance and strategic planning. 


What you’ll be doing:

  • Monthly Variance Analysis & Reporting: Conduct comprehensive variance analysis of EBITDA P&L and Balance Sheet reporting, delivering detailed insights and commentary on variance drivers for senior leadership.

  • Month-End Close Support: Identify potential inaccuracies in month-end reporting based on forecasted expense models, scrutinizing for discrepancies and ensuring accurate representation of financial performance. Collaborate with Accounting team & propose adjustments to enhance the accuracy of EBITDA P&L reporting and align with financial forecasts

  • Financial Planning Support and Automation: Maintain & conduct in-depth review of P&L Forecast & associated inputs to confirm both accuracy and forecasting methodology. Complete recurring and ad hoc manual tasks required to maintain Anaplan model, ensuring timely and accurate completion. Develop and implement automation solutions to streamline repetitive tasks, improving efficiency and reducing manual errors.

  • Data Validation and Quality Assurance:  Perform rigorous validation and data quality checks on data imports and output to ensure the accuracy and reliability of forecast data. Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner to enhance accuracy of forecast. 

  • Process Improvement Initiatives: Support and contribute to process improvement initiatives within the Finance function, specifically focusing on optimizing our expense forecast within Anaplan. Identify opportunities for process enhancements and collaborate with stakeholders to implement effective solutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

  • 2-4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, accounting, or a similar role

  • Technical Skills: Strong functional/technical skills with a desire to take ownership of the output. Strong data validation skills and experience in performing data quality checks to ensure accuracy

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively present financial insights, variances, and respond efficiently to inquiries. 

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret and analyze complex financial data and present insights clearly to senior leadership. High level of accuracy and attention to detail in analyzing financial data. 

  • Process Improvement: Strong understanding of process automation and willingness to develop solutions to streamline manual tasks.

  • Organizational Skills: Proven ability to meet deadlines and work independently, while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

  • Business Acumen: Demonstrated business acumen, including a drive to understand the business; why and how various business groups operate; and an ability to interact with varying personalities while effectively prioritizing competing demands

Preferred 

  • Experience with Anaplan strongly preferred. 

  • Strong skills in GSuite reporting and data analysis are preferred (ie. Advanced functions in Google Sheets, Connected Sheets, BigQuery, SQL querying, formula arrays, script editing)

  • Working knowledge of data structure and relational databases 

  • Experience with automation tools and data integration platforms (e.g., Workato) is a plus.

  • Experience in digital marketing and/or professional services industry is a plus

Compensation:
The annual base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently $65,000 - $75,000 plus performance bonus of (8%).  Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. We will provide more information on our benefits and equity upon requests. Sales roles are also eligible for incentive pay targeted up to or over 100% of the offered base salary (no cap).  Disclosure as required by the Colorado Equal Pay for > Equal Work Act, C.R.S. § 8-5-101 et seq.
