Job Description

Solidigm is seeking a Finance Cost Accounting Manager to join our Cost of Sales team. This role will directly manage a team of two employees and owns cost management and reporting for our NAND/SSD manufacturing business.  This role oversees the monthly Close activities for Cost of Goods Sold, Cost of Sales, and Gross Inventory.  The team is responsibilities for performing SAP costing steps for Close including executing cost runs, analyzing PPV utilizing the Value Flow Monitor and Material Price Analysis, performing necessary cost adjustments via MR22, and validating and releasing actual cost/periodic unit price.  The team owns calculating and booking all manual journal entries for Close and owns the key SOX controls for cost and inventory valuation.  The team is responsible for producing all Cost and Inventory slides for Close management reviews and presenting to our co-CFOs monthly.  The manager will support both Internal and External audit requests and testing, and ensuring compliance with key controls.  Outside of Close, the manager will oversee other cost-related processes including managing Cost of Sales overhead spending, maintaining standard cost, and partnering with Planning, Procurement, and IT to ensure our systems and processes keep pace with changes in the business.  He or she will partner with the forecasting team to provide cost inputs and partner with the revenue team for margin analysis.  The candidate will help build and automate process including creating a centralized databased for cost data, automating price/vol/mix analysis, and creating a core set of metrics to better explain cost trends, flux, and variance to forecast.  Finally, he or she will have the opportunity to drive cost optimization projects and influence decisions in key cost functions including manufacturing, procurement, and supply chain.  This role is a blend of Finance Cost Management and Cost Accounting and works regularly in SAP FICO modules.  Prior experience in cost management, SAP systems, and/or cost and inventory accounting is required.  Our team prides itself on operating with little boundaries, facing challenges head on, adapting quickly to change, and helping others just for the sake of helping.  This is a great opportunity for a relatively new manager or a strong, high-performing analyst that has an interest in managing.  As a manager, you will be expected to provide clear expectations, grow and develop employees, deliver high-impact results through others, and foster a team culture consistent with Solidigm values.  This is also a unique opportunity to join a young company and shape the direction, culture, and utility of the Finance organization.  This role comes with a great benefits package and has the option of being fully remote.

Characteristics required to be successful in this role:

  • Strong knowledge of cost management, accounting principles, financial reporting, and inventory valuation methods
  • Strong SAP FICO acumen and proficiency using key cost and inventory reports
  • Thorough understanding of internal controls, compliance requirements, and accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS)
  • Process management expertise and proven track record of driving process efficiencies
  • Experience building and managing complex models in Excel, comfortable using complex formulas and lookups, and ability to organize and analyze data for insights
  • Strong leadership or management experience with ability to guide and energize teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business with 7+ years of applicable experience, or a Masters, MBA, or CPA with 5+ years of applicable experience.

Additional Information

For California, Colorado, New York, Washington, and remote roles: The compensation range for this role is $113,040 to $178,010. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
