About the Role: 

Axiom is seeking a Strategic Pricing Intern who possesses a keen interest in developing critical pricing strategies and building analytical frameworks to enhance pricing metrics across our organization. Reporting to the Head of Pricing, this intern will collaborate closely with our Strategic Pricing Analyst.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate is analytical with a strong passion for understanding the influence of pricing on commercial activities. They excel in spreadsheet analysis and contribute meaningfully to strategic discussions. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams. The candidate should be eager to enhance their business skills, particularly analytical and technical skills, as Axiom progresses through the Pricing Journey Assessment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support daily Deal Desk Management by responding to seller requests, conducting analyses, and escalating deals as appropriate.
• Participate in daily Contract Reviews, assisting with agreements and providing guidance to sellers on pricing business terms.
• Contribute to the enhancement of our Pricing Analytics package for the pricing team, with a focus on improving deal desk metrics, strategic program analysis, and other tasks as assigned by pricing and finance leadership.
• Prepare and present critical analyses as part of regular reporting activities.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, and other Finance team members to advance strategic cross-functional analytic projects.
• Work in partnership with IT to apply analytics for the improvement of the Axiom Pricing Tool.
• Develop compelling materials to simplify complex topics for informed decision-making.

• Strong academic background with an interest in analytics.
• Aspiration to pursue a career in finance, pricing, or related business fields.
• Capability to collaborate effectively with remote team members and cross-functional teams.
• Self-driven with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Axiom’s total rewards philosophy is to be transparent and equitable with all intern candidates. The hourly wage for this internship in Chicago is $16.20 per hour.
