Finance Business Partner

We have an excellent opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join our Finance and Procurement team for 12 months (maternity cover).
The role
In the role of Finance Business Partner, you will be the face of the finance function to your business areas providing trusted advice and support to business leaders and budget holders. You will equip your business areas with skills and tools to take strategic financial decisions and have greater financial accountability, enabling the SRA to use finance resources efficiently and effectively in line with strategic goals.
Confident in communicating, you will make sure that effective financial controls operate across the business areas and that financial risk is understood and minimised.
Working collaboratively with the Head of Finance and the wider Finance team, you will help develop and deliver training for all finance requirements to the business.
To be successful in this role you must be capable of influencing stakeholders, have an acute awareness of governance and the capability to provide trusted advice and pragmatic solutions.

We are looking for
- Fully or part qualified Accountant; we will also consider non-qualified applicants with relevant and applicable experience.
- Understanding and practical experience of balancing strategic business and Finance requirements, and accounting standards and best practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, to effectively influence and build meaningful and trusted relationships.
- Strong ethos of continuous improvement and delivering an excellent service to customers.
- Relevant technical and operational skills, including accounting and operational systems and Microsoft Office.

- This is a hybrid role working from home and our Birmingham office. Hybrid for us means working 1-2 days in the office a week, and rest of the week from home.
