Contract Type:  Full Time, Permanent
Location: Homebased (with ad hoc travel for training and site based activities)
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, start and finish times flexible within core hours (9:00-5:00)

Salary: £30,000 per year

 

Here at VIVO we are looking for a Finance Assistant to support join a team of 5 in the Finance Team.
 
Working from home, this role will see you operating as a central function within the finance team, with a focus on continuous improvement, compliance and processes throughout the team and wider contracts.

 

Your day-to-day tasks will include; ensuring the team are working compliantly, reviewing approval limits within SAP and ensuring SAP is kept up to date, inputting requests to make sure financial controls are in the correct place and journal posting along with any ad hoc support that is necessary. This team is undergoing a rapid transformation focusing on continuous improvement, so you will also be reviewing financial processes including preparing process notes, reviewing processes for flaws and improvements and indicating these to the team and wider contracts within VIVO, and ensuring everything is documented.

 

You will also be providing reports for other contracts within VIVO, including the smaller profile contracts.

 

What you’ll need to do this role   

First and foremost, you will need at a minimum an AAT qualification and previous experience in a finance role with a compliance background. You will also need to be able to consolidate information and prepare reviews and reports to present to teams at all levels.  You must be familiar with journal posting, accruals, balance sheets and have a basic understanding of P&L. It is also essential that you have an interest in continuous improvement in your role.

 

As this role requires managing relationships across the team, wider VIVO contracts and with external stakeholders, it is essential that you are an excellent communicator and have experience in an office based, preferably commercial environment.

 

You will also need to be able to travel to attend training or site based activities, so it is desirable you have a driver's license.

 

You must be able to pass BPSS Clearance to be considered for this role.
