The Field Service Technician is responsible for providing preventative maintenance and repair services on medical equipment within a Las Vegas-centered territory that will cover most of Nevada and central-California (Fresno to Bakersfield). The selected candidate should be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and a fundamental understanding of the tools and processes required to complete the work. The FST focuses on high quality service and builds customer relationships while pursuing opportunities to grow the service business. 

This is a work-from-home position that will require daily driving to Arjo customer hospitals...using an Arjo vehicle. 

Approximately 30% overnight travel.  (all travel company paid)

Day-to-day functions include the following:

  • Preventative maintenance, repair services, installations, upgrades, and in-servicing customer hospital locations and at Arjo Service Centers.
  • Assess, estimate costs, and complete repairs for customer-owned medical equipment.
  • Assist the sales team in marketing company equipment (joint calls, in-services, sales leads, demo and trade show set-up, etc).
  • Actively seek opportunities to grow Arjo Service Contracts business.
  • Accurate and timely Activity Report submittal. Manage spare parts inventory.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3 years’ experience in repair and maintenance on electromechanical equipment; field/customer-facing experience strongly preferred.
  • Associate’s Degree in an electrical or mechanical discipline helpful.
  • Electrical and mechanical assembly, repair or maintenance training and/or certifications preferred.
  • Experience in selling or sales techniques (i.e. selling contracts or services) preferred.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical schematics.
  • Must be able to drive daily to customer location in Nevada and central-California.  (30% overnight)
  • Must be able to lift 30lbs and push/pull objects that are 70lbs.
