The Field Service Technician for Cytiva is responsible installing, servicing repairing and performing preventative maintenance on our products, supporting customers in the Eastern region.

This position is part of the Aseptic Filling Division located in Burnaby, BC, Canada. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What you will do:

• Perform onsite services including installation, training, maintenance, troubleshooting to resolve problems both remotely and onsite, debug and commission systems at customer sites.
• Represent Cytiva by being an ambassador and demonstrate a high attention to detail in performing work
• Use the service tracking system to provide clear documentation of activities at customer sites; participate in creating and updating service documentation; complete standard testing procedures during each machine’s commissioning phase

Who you are:

• Post-secondary engineering degree, diploma or equivalent; specializing in electrical, mechanical, or mechatronics, with problem-solving skills in the preceding areas, able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated experience working directly with customers with discretion
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills with a focus on accuracy and details, with application to improve work instructions

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• This position requires up to 75% flying and/or driving travel, which may potentially include up to 50% overnight stays. Travel will primarily be domestic but may occasionally be international.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to regularly lift, move, slide, raise and/or place up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand, walk (prolonged), and sit; squat and kneel, ascend and descend stairs; reach with hands and arms.
