As a Field Service Engineer for Agilent, you will work with a variety of different types of instrument configurations, so having an appetite for continuously learning about new instruments, software and consumables is key. Applying your communication skills, creativity and can-do attitude is essential. The ability to help with solving customer problems and a commitment to deliver the highest-levels of customer service is how you will build customer success.
This position will be a site dedicated role, meaning you will visit the same customer site each day and work a typical 9am-5pm shift on site most days. The customer location is in the Torrey Pines/Sorrento Mesa area of San Diego. This position will be focused primarily on LC and LCMS products, and therefore prior experience with Agilent LC and LCMS preferred.
Your Role:
One of the key responsibilities of this role will be to triage and troubleshoot Agilent instrumentation on behalf of the customer. This role will also take part in general maintenance activities on the instruments that are typically performed by customers.
You will also be responsible for supporting our customers with on-site installation, implementation, maintenance and repair of company and multi-vendor systems solutions. Our varied product lines include hardware, software and networking products as well as operating systems.
Diagnoses and resolves product performance problems and performs maintenance and repairs.
Ensures customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventive maintenance and configurations, which may impact product performance.
Proactively responds to potential equipment issues to prevent unplanned interruption of customers' business.
Deliver fully integrated solutions, which may include peripherals, communications, operating systems and applications software
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree within the science field – e.g. chemistry, analytical chemistry biochemistry, biotechnology or similar
Experience in a similar position or experience as an end user a plus
Experience with troubleshooting and problem solving
Experience with the Agilent solutions is desired but not essential
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
You enjoy travelling and visiting customers

Additional Details
This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely. Applications for this job will be accepted until at least December 10, 2024 or until the job is no longer posted. In the US, this position is eligible for choice of company car or reimbursement for personal vehicle usage.The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $30.23 - $47.23/hr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
