Field Service Engineer - HPLC, LCMS

Job Description

As a Field Service Engineer at Agilent, you'll play an important role in supporting labs by installing, maintaining, and repairing HPLC and LCMS systems. You'll work directly with customers to troubleshoot issues, optimize system performance, and ensure smooth operations, contributing to meaningful scientific discoveries.

Location: Kansas City, MO/KS (Primary)
Travel: 40% (Core: KS, MO, NE, IA, Southern IL; District: ND, SD, MN, NE, IA, KS, MO, AR, Southern IL)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and optimize customer sites' hardware, software, and network systems.

  • Diagnose and resolve product issues to ensure high performance.

  • Perform regular maintenance and repairs to prevent downtime.

  • Provide mentorship on preventive maintenance to increase system efficiency.

  • Deliver comprehensive solutions that may include operating systems, peripherals, and software.

  • Train customers and other specialists on product usage and standard processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s or equivalent experience in chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, or a related field.

  • 4+ years of confirmed experience in a relevant role or as an end-user.

  • Hands-on experience with HPLC and/or LCMS systems.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Familiarity with Agilent solutions is a plus.

  • Clear and respectful communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Willingness to travel and work directly with customers.

Additional Details

This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely. Applications for this job will be accepted until at least October 9, 2024 or until the job is no longer posted. The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $40.46 - $63.22/hr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
