Field Service Engineer
This position supports the Diagnostic Imaging Systems business within the greater Chicago area. This position will be responsible for customer relationship management through the effective use of technical knowledge to install, troubleshoot, service, and diagnosis and treatment imaging solutions at customer sites.
Your role:
- Assist in service repair, preventative maintenance, field change orders/installations for our diagnostic imaging equipment (MR/CT).
- Identification and resolution of customer issues, providing the customer with the appropriate communication and involving appropriate Service and Sales Personnel
- Defines problems: Collects data, establishes facts, and draws valid conclusions. Has the ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with abstract and concrete variables
You're the right fit if:
- Located in the Chicago area
- BSEE/BSEET preferred, or two-year formal education combined with appropriate high tech related experience
- At least three years of experience demonstrating repair and troubleshooting skills with diagnostic imaging equipment is required
- Ability to understand and apply electronic, mechanical and networking theory to install, diagnose and repair equipment including ability to read and interpret schematics and site drawings
- You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this Field Service position

Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations. This is a field-based role.

Philips Transparency Details
The hourly pay range for this position in Illinois is $30.00 – $52.00, plus overtime eligible. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case. The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive plan, field service incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
