As a Field Service Engineer at Agilent Technologies, you will play a vital role in ensuring our state-of-the-art instruments and solutions operate flawlessly in laboratories across the region. Your expertise will help researchers and clinicians achieve accurate and reliable results, driving advancements in healthcare and personalized medicine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to internal and external customer needs by providing repair, installation, upgrade, and preventive maintenance activities for pathology and genomics instruments and systems.

  • Diagnose and resolve product performance problems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.

  • Advise customers on preventive maintenance and configurations to enhance product performance and ensure satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with managers and sales teams to ensure customer needs and expectations are clearly understood and met.

  • Provide feedback to Product Specialists, manufacturing, or OEM vendors regarding performance anomalies, utilizing the complaint handling system as required

  • Document time and expenses promptly and accurately in SAP and other systems as requested by the manager.

  • Address potential equipment issues proactively to prevent unplanned interruptions to customers' business operations.

  • Complete administrative and compliance reports promptly and accurately.

  • Deliver fully integrated solutions, including peripherals, communications, operating systems, and applications software.

  • Respond to customer requests for service and communicate proactively before, during, and after service.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, Genomics, or a related field. We also welcome applications from technical college graduates and recently graduated technicians who are eager to start their careers in this exciting field.

  • 4+ years of experience in field service engineering. 

  • Experience in Pathology equipment preferred.

  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-focused mindset.

  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region, with international travel required for training purposes.

  • Must have a valid driving license and good driving record.

  • International training required for training.

  • Ability to travel overnight as needed.

Additional Details

This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely.

The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $78,560.00 - $122,750.00/yr CAD plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
