As a Field Sales Trainer, you will provide leadership and assistance to Corporate and Franchise Batteries Plus stores regarding selling execution and Services. As a key member of Batteries Plus, the Field Sales Trainer provides advice, expertise and training, as well as conducts role-play selling scenarios to improve store team selling behaviors. In addition, this role will improve selling metrics and profitability results across designated markets.

Responsibilities:

Sales Training

  • Work on the sales floor with team members to provide coaching and exhibit selling behaviors in real-time with customers
  • Role-play in-store customer interactions and over-the-phone selling scenarios.
  • Role-play and coach how to generate in-store commercial leads
  • Work with Store Managers on coach-the-coach scenarios and provide feedback and action plans to them for improving team results
  • Facilitate hands on training of device repair and key fob programming while in store with team members
  • Identify and train team members from underperforming retail selling stores. Review MTD Metric Report, Spiff Report, IOTM, and DSO Sales Walks for opportunity stores and team members
  • Influence and train Store Manager, Assistant Manager, and Store Associates to achieve desired selling metric standards and sales budgets
  • Measure progress of stores and team members through key selling metrics such as AAMPT, IOTM attachment-rate, Lifetime Watch/Fob, etc
  • Plan store visit and travel schedule using input from DSO's and VP of Store Operations and in partnership with the Regional Director
  • Identify performance gaps through observations and reporting analysis

Development

  • Help lead and facilitate change management
  • Identify potential growth and bench building opportunities among current store employees and provide feedback to District Managers
  • Work cross-functionally with the Commercial team on in-store lead generation training initiatives

Reporting

  • Complete daily store visit recaps of activities and action plans to Store Manager and DSO, RD and VP of Store Operations
  • Complete and distribute a weekly summary report of activities and action plans to VP of Store Operations
  • Use daily sales reports to measure team and individual performance in key selling metrics
  • Attend weekly DSO cascade calls and report on key selling initiatives and updates
