Summary of Position:

Within the designated territory and assigned departments, the Field Payroll Specialist will ensure an appropriate employee file set up within payroll-related systems and prepare payroll data for work performed. The position plans, organizes, manages, and executes the complex work of reviewing and preparing timesheet entries and other data for payroll processing. This position is part of a dedicated payroll team that supports the various Test Prep operations and marketing field departments in the U.S. and Canada.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all part-time employee timesheet processing and approval for assigned territory and departments
  • Review timesheet entries each pay period to ensure correct pay, accurate data, and policy compliance
  • Collaborate with assigned operations team(s) to develop timesheet review processes that support key business initiatives, goals, and best practices 
  • Provide general Payroll/HR support and compliance recommendations for managers related to PT Test Prep Staff and serve as liaison between PT Test Prep Staff or field managers and corporate Payroll/HR
  • Interact with employees at all levels to provide payroll information and resolve issues in a timely, professional manner
  • Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential and secure
  • Provide insight and assist with developing and improving payroll-related processes involving PT Test Prep Staff
  • Review and update existing Field Payroll SOPs as department structures and policies change
  • Maintain and audit employee file data in CST and UKG for all assigned PT Test Prep Staff
  • Ensure assigned employees are current with required “compliance training” modules (i.e. anti-harassment & discrimination, cybersecurity, etc.)
  • Assist with Test Prep onboarding, including completion of new hire set up in UKG Core and CST
  • Complete other special projects as assigned – including, but not limited to, training documentation/sessions for field managers and PT Test Prep Staff, data collection and review for special projects or programs, etc.

Education, Background, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, plus 1-2 years relevant experience in payroll, data entry/accounting, etc.
  • Strong and courteous written and oral communication skills to interact effectively with employees of all levels
  • Work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment to achieve objectives
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Superior organization skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams is preferred
  • Knowledge of UKG Pro HMS and Time Classic preferred
  • Knowledge of CST preferred
  • Experience with Multi State Payroll preferred

Salary: $46,000 - $52,000  per year, based on a 40 hour work week.
