Field Engineer II - Software Configuration

As a Field Engineer II, you will serve as the primary technical contact for assigned customer sites, overseeing and coordinating complex technical projects. You will provide pre-sales consultation, implementation, and post-sales support of ATI gaming systems, ensuring system stability and customer satisfaction. This role requires strong project management skills, technical expertise, and the ability to work independently in fast-paced environments. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and help drive continuous improvement in system deployments.
Job Requirements
Act as the technical lead for assigned customer sites, ensuring project alignment with business needs.
Plan, coordinate, and execute software installations, upgrades, and hardware/network configurations.
Provide on-site and remote troubleshooting for software, firmware, and hardware issues.
Manage project planning and resource allocation, ensuring timely execution with minimal oversight.
Ensure regulatory and operational compliance by working closely with compliance stakeholders.
Perform audits of existing installations to maintain compliance with standards.
Develop and document after-action reports, process improvements, and best practices.
Mentor and support Field Engineer I team members in developing their technical and project management skills.
Travel up to 75% to support client locations and project activities.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).
4+ years of relevant technical experience in IT, gaming systems, or related fields.
Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration, networking, and virtualization.
Experience with Kubernetes, containers, and enterprise networking technologies.
Understanding of relational database administration and management.
Experience working with clustered servers and SAN environments is desirable.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to varied audiences.
Technical certifications such as A+, Network+, Microsoft, or Cisco are highly desirable.
Experience in casino or gaming environments is preferred but not required.
Must be eligible to obtain relevant Tribal Gaming Licenses.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. during hardware installation.
Combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day.
Must be able to travel and work in varying environments, including customer sites with noise or smoke exposure.
Work Environment
Work is performed in office, customer site, and lab environments. This role requires some exposure to active casino gaming floors.

$75,922 - $140,998 per yearOur goal is to pay a market competitive salary focusing near the median of our pay ranges. However, final offers for all positions will be based on several factors such as experience level, education, skills, work location, and internal pay equity.
