We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Field CTO. A successful Field CTO at Praecipio is responsible for driving new opportunities within our client base by establishing deeper relationships and increasing credibility based on experience. The ideal candidate has a consulting background and experience bringing new ways of working with technology tools together to help clients solve critical business problems and improve product delivery.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Deliver value by understanding customer strategies and challenges, and collaboratively developing and implementing comprehensive solution strategies for various service industries and enterprise clients.
• Shape product and engineering priorities to ensure the experience leads to desired outcomes. 
• Play a crucial role in guiding organizations through the optimization of their technology and talent organizations by partnering with Praecipio Sales professionals to track and develop current and future growth opportunities. 
• Stay at the cutting edge of process, governance and tech such as Agile, DevOps, ITSM, and AI research and development.
• Share insights and expertise through presentations and publications.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and technological excellence.

Requirements

Technical Proficiency

• In depth knowledge of various technology and software stacks and tools.
• Experience with the following tools and technologies; Atlassian, GitLab, ServiceNow, JFrog, AWS, AI, Azure, Jenkins, Splunk.
• Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud-native architectures.
• Proficiency in managing and scaling infrastructure, including containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements relevant to the industry.

• Knowledge of data governance, data warehousing, and analytics tools.
• Experience with AI and machine learning technologies and their practical applications.
  

Sales and Development

• Strong understanding of customer needs and how technology can address them.
• Ability to translate technical solutions into business value for customers.
• Ability to identify and leverage opportunities for growth and differentiation.
• Experience in supporting sales teams in technical pre-sales activities.
• Ability to engage with customers at a technical level and support sales pitches and negotiations.

Problem Solving and Critical Thinking

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and technological advancements.

Leadership

• Proven track record of leading and mentoring technical teams.
• Ability to inspire and develop talent within the organization.
• Experience in managing large-scale projects and delivering on-time, on-budget solutions.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives.

Basic Qualifications 

• Minimum of 5 years driving sales and growing strategic accounts.
• Minimum of 5 years managing large-scale transformation projects from conception through execution.
• Minimum of 10 years experience in setting a strategic technology vision and executing it to align with organizational goals and delivering successful outcomes.
