Festival Tech engineer
We are looking for a visionary engineer to innovate and improve upon our Festival Tech system and overall game server architecture. Festival Tech, currently used in Sky: Children of the Light, allows thousands of players to be connected together in the same server instance. We used this technology for our famous AURORA Concert and for SkyFest this year, among other events.
This role will be technically demanding, requiring knowledge of network architecture, rendering, and gameplay code. The ideal candidate also has a great design sense and a passion for creating awe-inspiring experiences for our players.
Must haves:
* Strong C++ skills
* Collaborative and open-minded
* Good design sense
* Experience writing multiplayer code, both client and server side
* Knowledge of game server architecture
* Knowledge of low level network programming
* Experience with rendering and graphics pipelines
* Experience writing gameplay systems
* Knowledge of game engine architecture and the ability to implement new features "top to bottom"
Nice-to-haves:
* Experience with multiple game engines
* Has written a multiplayer game from scratch
* Has hobby projects relevant to the role (e.g. a game engine, a networking app, a multiplayer game using an existing engine, etc etc)

The salary range for this position is $120,000 USD to $180,000 USD annually, with the opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices. Employees in this position are eligible to participate in the Company’s standard employee benefit programs, which currently include the following: medical, dental, vision, 401k, and paid time off.
