A Day in the LifeStrategize, coordinate and execute FCAs through strong collaboration with operating unit and regions. Responsible for initiating new FCAs and revisions. Support internal and external audits.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Prioritizes patient safety and regulatory compliance by acting swiftly in collaboration with cross functional partners to ensure timely FCA planning and approval.
  • Partner with Operating Unit (OU) and region to drive alignment on FCA strategy and execute per plan by following released procedure steps
  • Follow the process per procedures, align with OUs as needed to ensure the standard process is followed and executed
  • Support internal & external audits as needed to represent the process and team
  • Supports continuous improvement projects to increase effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance
  • Ensures alignment with legal and ethical standards of the organization

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Requires practical knowledge and demonstrated competence within job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
  • Requires a Baccalaureate degree and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 0 years relevant experience.

  • Capable of effectively managing multiple demands from a variety of sources.
  • Strong expertise with managing complex situations, comfortable escalating issues and operate in grey area 

Nice to Have

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Experience with FDA regulatory medical device requirements, 21CFR Part 806, Part 7; ISO 13485, Medical Device Directive.
  • Experience supporting internal and external audits 
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement projects

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$111,200.00 - $166,800.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

 

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match, Short-term disability, Paid time off, Paid holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Employee Assistance Program, Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums), and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).

 

Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns.  Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
