Job Type Full-time Description

We are currently hiring for an experienced and dedicated Faculty Success Coach to join our team at Joyce University.  Reporting to the Director of the Center for Teaching Excellence, the Faculty Success Coach manages faculty coaching and mentoring activities, including developing, implementing, evaluating, revising, and maintaining the faculty academy, continuing education workshops, and the institutional and programmatic accreditation process. Oversight of the faculty academy, continuing education, and mentoring program are critical responsibilities for the Faculty Success Coach. To perform essential duties and responsibilities, the Faculty Success Coach collaborates with appropriate stakeholders, including academic affairs, academic deans, faculty, instructional design, instructional technology staff, and others.

WHAT YOU DO EVERYDAY: 

  • Develop and facilitate the university's formal faculty mentoring program.
  • Create faculty learning communities and workshops to pursue scholarly work, gain certification, and obtain advanced degrees, including establishing the writer’s collaborative and scholarly symposiums to facilitate evidence-based practice, research, and dissemination.
  • Develop activities to engage faculty with innovative teaching and learning strategies, including educational technology. 
  • Engage with professionals for national updates on evidence-based teaching practices and assessment and evaluation strategies.
  • Connect community stakeholders and students to scholarly activities and opportunities for needs-based professional development. 
  • Collaborate with leadership and the faculty to identify current topics for teaching workshops that align with changes in higher education. 
  • Participate in the institutional and programmatic accreditation process.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:  

  • Terminal degree (PhD or professional doctorate) from a regionally accredited institution required.
  • CNE certification preferred.
  • Minimum three years of experience in higher education related to faculty development and coaching.
  • Experience working with faculty expectations, national standards, guidelines for faculty development, and evidence-based processes for mentoring and coaching faculty. 
  • Experience with project management involving multi-step, outcomes-based collaborative projects.
  • Experience developing undergraduate and graduate higher education courses, curriculum/assessment mapping, and assessment rubric development.
  • Experience participating in institution and/or programmatic accreditation processes (CCNE, ACEN, ACOTE, ANCC)  
  • Experience leading and participating in program evaluation processes.
  • Minimum five years of teaching experience, including at the graduate level.
  • Experience teaching and designing online teaching resources.
  • Experience developing and delivering faculty workshops.
  • Experience with web-based project management platforms (Asana preferred).
  • Experience with learning management systems (Canvas preferred).
  • Evidence of scholarly work includes current scholarly publications, peer-reviewed journals, and professional presentations. 
  • Experience with leadership roles in national organizations and service on University-wide committees.
